MITRE is seeking experienced analysts and leaders with expertise in quality improvement, performance measures, policy development, care delivery process improvement, payment modeling, health IT, stakeholder engagement, or program implementation to support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) through all phases of healthcare modernization and transformation. The candidate best suited for the position will thrive in a highly dynamic environment, easily performing independent work, as well as working comfortably in team settings.
As a member of MITRE's Health Transformation Technical Center, the ideal candidate would provide strategic support to the Department of Health and Human Services and other Federal Health departments and agencies as needed. The position requires significant general subject matter expertise in interoperability and meaningful use policy. This position also requires significant general subject matter expertise in health policy (discerning and identifying implications of policy or regulatory choices, projected outcomes, sector impacts, etc.)
The successful candidate will be part of MITRE teams that advise federal (and state) stakeholders as these agencies seek to employ methods to better exchange, integrate, and utilize disparate public health data sets, and apply broad principles of public health, epidemiology, and/or biostatistics appropriately to improve public health studies. In this role, the candidate will analyze and evaluate existing processes and data sources to derive actionable recommendations to improve operational efficacy in the public health domain.
As a member of the MITRE Biotechnology Group, you will provide oversight and contribute to the technical expertise to biodefense, biosecurity, and preparedness related programs across the US Government.
