What are IBPF roles and permissions?

The content of the IBPF web portal reflects the collaborative efforts of the members. Public users have access to public content only. Registered IBPF members can login to see members-only content. Specific roles and permissions can be granted to IBPF members to enable them to perform site management tasks such as submitting, reviewing, and/or approving content or accounts. The roles of IBPF web portal users and their related functional capabilities are shown below.

Public User A visitor to the web portal does not need an account to view the site; however, a temporary username and password are in place to view the portal while it is in development. See Section 1.1.2 for more information about portal access prior to the official site launch. Public users have the following capabilities:

  • Can view public content
  • Can view list of all member organizations
  • Can request membership 

Registered IBPF Member

This is the basic account type. Registered IBPF members have access to the private IBPF web portal content. Registered IBPF members have all of the permissions and capabilities of the public user, plus the following capabilities:

  • Can view members-only content (PROJECTS, BEST PRACTICES, EXERCISES, and MEETINGS)
  • Can view the member directory
  • Can view and post in forums
  • Can submit events and members-only content for review

POC Account Reviewer

This is a single, designated person within an IBPF member organization responsible for managing IBPF membership accounts for people from his or her organization. A POC Account Reviewer has all of the permissions and capabilities of a registered IBPF member, plus the following capabilities:

  • Can approve or reject membership requests for individuals from his or her
  • Can deactivate or block/unblock active memberships for individuals from his or her organization

Site Account Reviewer

  • This is an IBPF-designated person responsible for managing accounts of IBPF members from any organization. A Site Account Reviewer has all of the permissions and capabilities of a registered IBPF member, plus the following capabilities:
  • Can approve or reject membership requests for any organization (second review)
  • Can approve or reject membership requests for individuals whose organizations are not members of IBPF (only review)
  • Can edit profiles of any existing individual members as well as deactivate or block/unblock any active membership accounts

POC Content Reviewer

This is a single, designated person within an IBFP member organization responsible for reviewing content submitted by members of his or her organization. A POC Content Reviewer has all of the permissions and capabilities of a registered IBPF member, plus the following capability:

  • Can approve or reject content submitted by individuals from his or her organization (first review) Site Content Reviewer This is an IBPF-designated person responsible for managing site content. A Site Content Reviewer has all of the permissions and capabilities of a registered IBPF member, plus the following capabilities:
  • Can approve or reject content submissions for any organization (second review)
  • Can publish site-wide public and members-only content (NEWS, EVENTS, RESOURCES,  HELP ARTICLES, FAQs,  etc.)
