New CRISPR Tech Targets Human Genome's Complex Code

Rice University researchers have developed a new genome editing tool by programming a modified CRISPR/Cas9 complex to target specific histones, epigenetic proteins that keep DNA in order, opening the door to potential new therapies for cancer and other diseases.
