The Swedish company Ziccum is developing a method of preserving vaccines that requires no refrigeration and may remain viable for up to a month at ambient temperature. Freeze-dried vaccines do exist but these require refrigeration. Ziccum's method could be a breakthrough for the future of vaccine development.
